Clubs

Drama Club

Drama Club runs in 6 week blocks on a Wednesday night. It helps pupils to build confidence and work as part of a team. It gives pupils the chance to meet children from different schools, take part in new experiences and above all .........have fun!
In Drama we have covered, designing and making scenery, making props, creating scripts, performing plays, miming, making puppets and performing using our own scripts.
We have had a professional singing teacher in to help us and a professional puppeteer.
At present we are making our own music videos (check them out at the bottom of the page).

Our Latest Work

Some work from drama club...

In Drama Club pupils were looking to use music to show emotion. We first explored using different instruments. Working in two groups we made up a piece of music called 'Emotions' then played it to each other. Each group had to listen carefully to see if they could hear any sounds that they could put an emotion to. Gaynor
Gardening Club

Our new Gardening Club has proved to be very popular! Pupils attend once a week after school to help keep our sensory garden looking fantastic. Pupils learn about planting and growing flowers, fruits and vegetables as well as how to look after the established plants already in the garden. They also help to keep the area nice and tidy so everyone at Chesnut Lodge can keep enjoying the beautiful space.
Multi-Sports Club

Greenbank Sports Academy coaches will be joining us at school on a Tuesday night to run a multi-sports club. The club will run on a Tuesday night from the 3rd November until summer.
All of our secondary aged pupils are invited to attend and have a go at a wide range of sports including wheelchair football, basketball, hockey and many more. The club will also be using these sporting activities to help our pupils who are wheelchair users to develop their manual and electric chair skills, so why not sign up and join in the fun!
