Pond Dipping in KS2

6th May 2016
2VG went pond dipping to Victoria Park recently as part of the science work. Pupils had a fantastic time spotting all the wild animals that live there, including squirrels and swans. Everyone had a chance to go pond dipping, and although they didn't think they had found anything at first, a closer investigation revealed that there where lots of very small creatures moving in the water! Pupils where a bit disappointed that they couldn't find any frog spawn, but a trip to wash hands and warm up in the cafe helped cheer everyone up! There was also a lovely surprise as there was a big bucket of frogspawn waiting for the group to see when they got back to school!
