Halton's Youth MP visits Chesnut Lodge!

18th November 2016
Chesnut Lodge were lucky enough to have Halton's Member of Youth Parliament join us in school this week. Thomas Norris came to school to talk to Secondary 3 and 4 about the Youth Parliament as part of their Citizenship work.
Thomas was grilled by pupils about his role and what it involves before giving a presentation all about the youth parliament elections and how to get involved. Pupils were really interested to hear about the work Thomas has been campaigning for and about the issues the Youth Parliament are looking at as a whole group.
Thomas also joined members of the school council to talk about his work and to answer questions about the importance of giving young people a voice.
Pupils wrote a list of all the things they had learnt from Thomas' visit.
