Arts Development have a range of workshops for children and adults this autumn at the Brindley and across the borough. Please find details below and come along to try out a class. All welcome, no need to book.
Regular weekly and monthly workshops for children, young people and adults
All regular workshops cost £4 per session.
Vocalise @ The Brindley
Saturdays in term time 10am – 12 noon for ages 6-16
Come and join other children and young people in learning to sing, perform and record. The atmosphere is friendly and fun and you’ll gain the confidence and ability to sing solos, duets or as part of a group
Tiny Theatre @ Beechwood Community Centre, Beechwood Avenue, Runcorn, WA7 3HB
Saturdays in term time 10am – 11am for ages 4 – 7
A fun introduction to drama skills and performance, giving little ones the chance to express themselves, and gain confidence and communication skills.
Second Saturday Art Club @ The Brindley
Saturdays September 10, October 8, November 1, December 10 and ongoing
10.30am – 12 noon for ages 4 – 11
New visual arts workshop where children can paint, collage, make and create something unique each session to take home.
For adults
Fit to Dance @ the Brindley
Every Monday and Tuesday, 10.30 – 11.30am
Designed for the over 50s, these friendly classes are a great way to get fit, have fun and meet new people.
NEW workshop: The Big Sing @ St Michael’s and All Angels, Greenway Road, Runcorn, WA7 5BS
Tuesdays in term time 7 – 8.30pm
Would you like to sing for fun, make new friends and enjoy a social evening with no pressure to perform? If you’ve always wanted to give singing a try but not sure if you can, why not come and join us for a fun and friendly singing experience? All adults welcome.
Exploring Performance @ Beechwood Community Centre, Beechwood Avenue, Runcorn, WA7 3HB
September 10, October 1, November 5, December 3 and ongoing , 11.15am – 12.15pm for ages 18+
For all adults who love drama, theatre and poetry and would like to explore performance. Explore scripts and bring characters to life. From Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams, Harold Pinter to Steven Berkoff you will explore playwrights and performance techniques including farce and melodrama, physical theatre and music hall.
